UFC cards have grown into one of the hottest corners of the hobby. Panini Prizm UFC brought chrome parallels and numbered rookies to MMA, and Topps has since returned with its own UFC products. Here is what to know before you buy UFC Prizm cards or any UFC slab.
A Short History of UFC Cards
Topps made UFC cards for years, including the popular Topps UFC Chronicles and Knockout sets. In 2021 Panini took over the license and launched Panini Prizm UFC, followed by Select, Chronicles and other Panini UFC sets. Topps has since regained the UFC license through Fanatics and returned with products such as Topps UFC Finest and Topps Chrome UFC. That means Panini Prizm UFC covers a fixed run of years, which collectors like because those cards will not be printed again.
Why Collectors Love UFC Prizm
- Prizm parallels: Silver, colour parallels and low numbered versions like /10, /5 and 1/1
- Rookie cards: first Prizm cards for fighters who later became champions
- Autographs: on-card and sticker autographs from current and legendary fighters

UFC Cards to Look For
Champions and fan favourites drive the market. Rookie cards and low numbered Prizm parallels of fighters such as Islam Makhachev, Alex Pereira, Ilia Topuria, Tom Aspinall and Sean O’Malley get the most attention, along with legends like Conor McGregor, Jon Jones and Khabib Nurmagomedov. Prices move with results, so a big win (or loss) can change a card’s value overnight.
Raw or Graded UFC Cards?
Chrome cards like Prizm show surface scratches and off-centring easily, so a PSA 10 can sell for several times the price of a raw copy. For expensive cards, buying graded removes the guesswork. Read raw vs graded cards and how to check a PSA cert number before you buy.
How to Tell a Real Prizm Rookie
- Look for the RC logo on the front of the card
- Check the year and card number against a checklist
- For numbered parallels, the serial number should be stamped on the card, usually on the back
